J.O. Dada holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) and Master of Laws (LL.M) from Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-Ife. He has the Ph.D Degree in Law of Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti.

He is presently a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Public Law, Ekiti State University Ado Ekiti. He teaches Labour Law, Intellectual Property Law and Constitutional Law. He has published several Articles in reputable journals locally and internationally. He is a member of Nigeria Bar Association and Nigerian Association of Law Teachers. 

He joined the service of Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti, Nigeria in November, 1998. He has previously served as Faculty Staff adviser, Law Students Society, 2002 – 2003; Sub-Dean, 2003 – 2006 and Coordinator Public Law, 2006 – 2007. He has equally represented the Faculty of Law in various faculties’ Board such as the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, Arts, Education and Management Sciences. He became the acting Head of Department of Public Law on August 1, 2023.
