Dr. Enobong Mbang Akpambang

Head of Department

Dr. Enobong Mbang Akpambang holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Law (Ph.D.) from the Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti, Nigeria. He obtained his Master of Laws Degree (LL.M) from the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State, Nigeria and his Bachelor of Laws Degree (LL.B) (Hons.) from the University of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. He attended the Nigerian Law School, Lagos and was called to the Bar in December 1993.

Dr. Akpambang joined the services of the then University of Ado-Ekiti (now Ekiti State University), Ado Ekiti, Nigeria in 2002 as a Lecturer II and is currently a Reader in the Department of Public Law. In the course of his university career, he has, on previous occasions, been saddled with administrative responsibilities such as, but not limited to, holding the positions of Level Co-ordinator, Final Year Students’ Long Essays Co-ordinator, Acting Head of Department as well as membership of various Faculty and University Committees and Boards. He teaches and supervises students both at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He was recently re-appointed as an Acting Head of Department on secondment to the Department of Private & Property Law.

Dr. Akpambang has attended several conferences and seminars as well as published articles in peer-reviewed or refereed indexed journals (onshore/offshore) plus some publications as chapters in books. His research focus is in the area of Public Law with specific interest in the areas of:

Constitutional Law; Comparative Constitutional Law; Environmental Law, Human Rights Law; Oil and Gas Law; and Women and the Law. He is a reviewer of articles/papers for some peer-reviewed offshore and onshore journals.

Dr. Akpambang is a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. He is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) and the Nigerian Association of Law Teachers (NALT).
