PROF. ENOBONG AKAMPANG
Head of Department
Prof. Enobong Mbang AKPAMBANG is a distinguished scholar and holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree (LL.B) (Hons.) from the University of Uyo, Nigeria. He obtained his Master of Laws Degree (LL.M) from the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile -Ife, Nigeria and his Doctor of Philosophy in Laws Degree (Ph.D) from Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti, Nigeria. He was admitted to the Nigerian Bar on 15 December 1993 after completing his mandatory legal training at the Nigerian Law School, Lagos.
Since joining the University of Ado Ekiti (now Ekiti State University) in September 2002 as a Lecturer II, Prof. Akpambang has risen to the rank of a Professor in the Department of Public Law. He has held various key administrative positions in the University, including but not limited to Level Co-ordinator, Faculty Representative, Faculty Portal Manager, Final Year Students’ Long Essays Co-ordinator, and Acting Head of Department on multiple occasions. He is currently serving as Head of the Department of Private and Property Law on secondment.
Prof. Akpambang teaches and supervises students both at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. His research interests covers Constitutional Law, Comparative Constitutional Law, Energy and Natural Resources Law, Environmental Law, Gender & the Law, and Oil & Gas Law. He has attended several conferences and seminars as well as published widely in peer-reviewed journals and contributes as a reviewer for various indexed and non-indexed academic journals/publications.
Prof. Akpambang is a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria; an active member of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), the Nigerian Association of Law Teachers (NALT), and the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU). He is married with children).
