Dr. Kemisola Busayo Akanle was born on the 17^th of November, 1986 to the family of Mr. F.I and Mrs. O.O Oluwafemi in Ado Ekiti. Dr. K. B Akanle is a native of Igbole Ekiti in Ido/ Osi Local Government Area in Ekiti State.

She attended the Ondo State University Staff School (now Ekiti State University Staff School) Ado Ekiti between 1990 and 1996. She proceeded to the Federal Government Girls’ College Ipetumodu, Osun State where she obtained her Secondary School Leaving Certificate in 2002. While at the Federal  Government Girls’ College Ipetumodu, she was the Assistant Head Girl.  In 2003, she gained admission into the University of Ado Ekiti (now Ekiti State University) to study Law and she graduated in 2008 with a Second Class (Upper Division), and as the best graduating student in her class. She attended the Nigerian Law School Kano Campus and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2009.

In June, 2012 she joined the services of the Ekiti State University as an Assistant Lecturer. In 2015, she obtained a Masters of Law. Degree from the prestigious University of Ibadan in and was promoted to the position of Lecturer II and to Lecturer 1 in 2018. Dr. K.B Akanle bagged her Ph.D in March 2024. She has published articles in reputable journals both at the local and international levels.

Sub Dean 2020/2021 and 2021/2022 academic session.

Faculty Representative at the GST Directorate 2021-2023

Faculty Representative at the Directorate of Entrepreneurship 2021-2023.

Dr. K.B. Akanle is currently the Ag. Head of Department, Business and Industrial Law Department a position she assumed in August 2024.

She is happily married to Dr. A.O. Akanle  and the union is blessed with children
